It is time for each of us to face our personal responsibility to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Iron Horse Farm encourages everyone to take the quality and availability of food seriously. Numerous challenges and issues profoundly impact food production at every level. We encourage everyone to grow some portion of what they eat.

Farm + Art + Nature Camps for Kids

The Iron Horse Farm is now offering summer farm camps for kids! Children will see lambs, donkeys, chickens and chicks and learn the ins and outs of a backyard aquaponics system. Activities include making yogurt and fruit leather, playing games, and painting pictures using the animals as models. Time will be allotted each day to explore nature on the farm. We will walk through the forest, identify edible native plants, make tea from fir needles, and eat snacks made from fruits and vegetables grown on the farm. Children will observe each type of animal's intelligence and learn how they communicate with their bodies and through many different vocalizations. This will be a relaxed and joyful learning experience.
